Working With Me

Psychodynamically Informed

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a well researched and long-standing form of talking therapy. It involves examining the interactions between our thoughts, feelings and memories of the past.

Experience Your Self

Discover new ways of experiencing yourself, leading to personal growth and a calmer, more balanced approach to life.

Foster Self-Awareness and Distance

Learn to create a healthy separation between yourself and your thoughts or emotions, cultivating clarity and freedom. Reframe emotions and thoughts as experiences happening to you, not defining you, empowering a new way to approach life’s challenges.

Explore Your Inner Experience

Gain deeper self-understanding by observing your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with neutral curiosity, free from judgment

Examine The Past

Explore how past experiences and memories influence your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through reflective conversations, gain valuable insights into underlying dynamics that may shape your actions and emotions.

Structured Approach

Sessions follow a clear, structured approach to ensure progress remains focused, helping you stay on track and achieve your therapeutic goals

Why SIX sessions?

I initially contract for 6 sessions to provide a clear framework that keeps us focused and offers a tangible goal to work towards. This structure allows us to reflect and assess the progress we’re making together.

While I follow a structured layout for each session as a loose guideline, every client is unique, and there is always space to address specific challenges such as anxieties, traumas, or relationship issues.

In my experience, these challenges often stem from deeper roots, and the way forward typically involves going inward first to uncover and understand these underlying dynamics.

Having said all that...

Flexibility and your comfort are essential for effective work. If committing to six sessions doesn’t feel right for you, I’m also happy to work on a per-session basis.
